6th Annual Horror Anthology
Editorial Review:
“I Bring the Storms.” What a galvanizing title. A little like thunder (with lightning sure to follow). And you don’t have to forecast the weather to know that will happen when you turn the cover of Tell-Tale Publishing’s 6th Annual Horror Anthology. Their well-established debuts of prior collections delivered fully on chills and things that go bump in the night. I BRING THE STORMS & OTHER TALES evokes something subliminal about the thin line between a rational universe and what lies beyond. Get to know the characters and their human passions, their fears and desires, then awaken to the eerie crumbling of sanity as subtle as an unexpected breath on the back of your neck.
– Thomas Sullivan, USA best-selling author of CASE WHITE

Looking for Mr. Right? If he's too good to be true, he is. Know a college student who's looking forward to holiday break? Better hope they're not alone in the dorms. Not college aged? Then be careful you don't spend too much time home alone. Your memories may be all you have left. It still may be better than being stuck in the wilderness with a hungry pack stalking you. And if you think the devil made you do it, he probably did. You may have killed your best friend. But even the dead have tales to tell. Be sure you stock plenty of candles to illuminate their way. You'll need them. You won't want to sleep with the lights off, if you can even get to sleep.

5th Annual Horror Anthology

REVIEWS
"Now in its fifth incarnation, Tell-Tale's horror anthologies have become an annual benchmark of emerging talent and well-told stories. The select seven featured here will yank you backward and forward again in time, visiting the exotic and the seemingly mundane, at a pace and a pulse calibrated for Halloween chills. Beware of a cat named Sabrina and a Celtic goddess with a passport to Salem – yes, that Salem. An old farmhouse could hold more vivid memories than just its mortal foundations, and think twice about rescuing the sister of a young boy if you find yourself in a desert. Twins may not be what they seem, so hang onto your hat (and your head). For that matter, hang on to your whole body unless you want to risk permanent eviction. Also, you may never use steak knives again. Trick or treat!"

Ever see one of those seedy-looking hotels in the middle of nowhere and get reminded of Psycho, even as you wonder who might actually stay or work there? Or perhaps you’ve traveled on business and found yourself in the wrong part of town--and the natives are restless.
Perhaps you’re from one of those families where tradition is everything, and you just accept it as the norm. But what if it suddenly becomes obvious that it’s not normal at all? What would you do? Legends are handed down from childhood, and they’re almost always based on facts. Do you remember any of those urban legends? The kids of James Buchanan are about to experience an ancient Native American legend for themselves. Why not join them . . . if you dare?
Welcome to Tell-Tale’s 4th Annual Horror Anthology. We think the ancient and more modern legends explored in this edition will make you sleep with the lights on for days.

FOREWORD for Secret Santa Anthology
Oh, the Horror! The Horror!
I've been a fan since my older sister used to wake me up so I could sneak down to watch Creature Feature when I was in elementary school! Funny, I never could seem to get back to sleep . . . While my main writing focus is the paranormal, my passion for the darker side of the scary spectrum was resurrected while working on Indie horror film, In The Woods, helping with the screenplay, writing a novelization, AND having a guest role as "Bar Extra"! That endeavor put Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Justin Cronin into my "Must Read" rotation and convinced me to watch (through my fingers) movies such as Cabin in the Woods, The Others, and Woman in Black.
Tell-Tale Publishing has an eye for the macabre and for authors who know how to wield a Poe-worthy pen. I've enjoyed being one of the judges in their yearly Halloween talent search (two of the winners are in this edition!). I'm always thrilled to be thrilled by something new in the genre, and this collection fits the bill. Quick, blood-curdling reads to curl up with on a dark night, taken a deadly sip at a time, like a fine, hoarded vintage to savor and appreciate when the nights grow cold and the wind howls. That was the wind . . . wasn't it?
Cheers! Happy reading, and don't forget to leave the nightlight on!
